Bert: Hi SS, the test server last night only had the Hlden and Nissan. Is there a problem with the ford?
SmellySkidmark: Yes there's a problem putting them on the server because FVR have done it with 2 updates, however the server will only let you do 1 update to a file (rfcmp). So we're waiting for them to sort this out. How do you like the mod?

LordOfTheRims created the topic: Real-feel Settings For FVRV8_v1.7 - by "tigeraid"
FVRfactor has produced a Realfeel patch for v1.7 based on suggestions made by "tigeraid". The patch alters the range of settings(and the default setting) of the Castor Angle and provides FFB options in the Upgrades menu.

The settings below were posted by tigeraid and work perfectly well without the patch. The main difference between these settings and the ones dbens suggested are that the FFB Effects are NOT reversed, and the Castor Angle is increased dramatically:

Logitech Profiler:

Overall Effects Strength = 100%
Spring Effect Strength = 10%
Damper Effect Strength = 10%
Allow Centring Spring (tick box) = 10%
Report Combined Pedals = NO
Degrees of Rotation = 540
Allow Game To Adjust Settings = YES

Realfeel Settings:

MaxForceAtSteeringRack= +1500.000000 (I prefer +1000.000000)
SteeringDamper = 2500.000000 (I prefer 7000.000000)
FFBMixerRealFeelPercent=100.000000
Smoothing Damper = 2 (I prefer 0)

In-game FFB Settings:

FFB Type = wheel
FFB Effects = low
FFB Strength = -100

Garage Settings:

Steering Lock = 20 (with Degrees of Rotation in Profiler=540 - if you use less, lower the Steering Lock setting)
Castor = 6.0 (or higher)

The default Castor angle is currently 2.5 the Realfeel patch re-sets it to 5.0

To me, tigeraid's settings feel very stable but not like Realfeel in other mods. The alternative settings, i.e. MaxForce= -550.000 and Castor=1.0 feel more like Realfeel in other mods, but it feels wrong once you get past a certain steering angle.

I've installed the patch and tried buying the Realfeel Upgrade but found that Realfeel works exactly the same as it did before, no matter which settings I use. (IMHO, there wasn't enough testing done before making and releasing the patch.)

Do you have a link to the patch? I use realfeel for this mod but feel Leo's is better for the Adrenalin Factor mod.

I would have probably stolen cars - it would have given me the same adrenaline rush as racing.

I tried the one from FVRfactor and installed it to a fresh install of v1.7

Since then dbens has made another patch that's compatible with the XFUpgrades add-on and sent it to Nibiru.

What settings are you using for Realfeel?

Every time you use realfeel in a different car it writes the settings for that car in the .ini file. Any settings you change in-game will change the settings in the ini file.

Yours are mostly default, you can see they recently changed the default Steering Damper from 2500 to 11500.

I can't see an entry for a FVRV8_v1.7 car unless its the one that just says HOLDEN, but I thought that might be the Torana.
