Hi Guys

Can any one help with this... when you run unleashed (or any mod i suppose with tyre options) that allow either tyre...... is there anyway of telling who is on what tyre during the race or get the data from the server etc after the race...

Any help appreciated....

ATM we run an honesty policy but in the last 2 rounds of the V8's we had some great dual tyre races and you could tell when someone was on a different tyre and would be very noticable if someone tried to cheat by using sprints twice.

I would have probably stolen cars - it would have given me the same adrenaline rush as racing.

As far as I know rFactor doesn't allow for visual or data changes during races between tyres unfortunately. Hopefully rf2 does!! The best way I could think was to check times (knowing what each trye can do) and to make a control tyre compulsory to start on.

@nib, it makes it far more interesting not knowing what your oponent is starting on than knowing. Plus having cars on different compounds at different stages of the race makes it more fun.




I would have probably stolen cars - it would have given me the same adrenaline rush as racing.

I agree with Nipzon the last 2 round of v8's were the driver got to choose what they started on and changed too was excellent, for example on Monday nite at Melbourne i started with a full tank (120L) and sprints and Nipzon and a few other started on controls in which nobody knew till the race started buy the time i had used my full tank on sprints i had over 1minute advantage on Nipzon and the others on controls, i then pitted for controls and a near full tank the guys on the sprints were making inroads on me and with a little over 5min to go Nipzon got past me on his sprints, i was just going to be happy with 2nd until the last 2 laps when i started to catch nipzon who had about an 8sec gap on me he then said he was low on fuel so he must have either stopped a lap too early or just didnt put the right amount of fuel in and on the last lap i got by him for 1st and relegated him to 2nd and his car just ran out of fuel on the home straight allowing him to cross the line in 2nd but the stratigies played out in the last 2 rounds was excellent and kept you on the edge of your seat for the whole 45 min.

Thanks for your comments guys.... really appreciate it.... looks like the 2011 update for unleashed will have white side walls on the sprints, so that will help.... will have to watch replays though :dry:

You got it right there John. I pitted one lap early and because the second tank was full again the few litres did not carry over which got me in the end. Exciting race that was.

I agree nipzon......and by doing it there is a greater trust that drivers will do the right thing. The reason I chose to run the event the way I did was lack of time in having to check what tyres drivers where on, so that way made it quicker and easier for me to make judgments..

I think we are up there with trust cause on the last race we had one someone going into the pits and only changed three tires to sprints and had to go back for a refit. LOL
