Nibiru: Oooo thanks SS
Bert: Hi SS, the test server last night only had the Hlden and Nissan. Is there a problem with the ford?
SmellySkidmark: Yes there's a problem putting them on the server because FVR have done it with 2 updates, however the server will only let you do 1 update to a file (rfcmp). So we're waiting for them to sort this out. How do you like the mod?
Bert: Haven't had much time to test them as my single player crashes. So last night was the first opportunity. Not sure what brand to go for this year either. Looking to do some testing tonight. Thx for putting up a server

There's a line in the force feedback settings that unfortunately causes a slight dead zone when the wheel is perfectly centered. This "gap" was driving me nuts so I figured out a way to get rid of it. Just follow these steps...

- Open the following folder: Program Files>rFactor>UserData>*your profile*

- Then open the Controller.ini file with Notepad

- Search for the following line by pressing Crtl-F: FFB steer force neutral range

- Change the value from 0.04500 to 0.00000

So you can almost make your old G25 be like a G27.

thank you

I will give that a try. I just purchased a G25 and I wished I had purchased one sooner. It beats the hand controller my miles.

I setup my V8 Supercar install the same as Nibs example and I must admit it was a little off putting at first. The steering is very light, and I did increase the center spring to 30% just to feel a little weight.

But it does allow you to turn in and out a lot quicker, and correct over steer easier.

I think its far from realistic but then, i guess so is driving a car in your loungeroom.

Finally got 'round to fixing the dead-zone, thanks Nib. Its much more direct now and I'll have to get used to it. I should be able to use a lower setting in the steering-lock garage settings.

I noticed the "Rates" settings(above) include digital rates. They only apply to digital controllers, not analogue steering-wheels, you need to go into "Controller 1" to adjust analogue steering settings.(IMHO)
