Hi Guys
We are looking to start up a series with the mod Boz Sprints, we will do a couple of fun nights just to get used to the cars and race format before starting up a 6 round championship, i believe that once people get used to this mod that there will be some action packed racing with plenty of overtaking on Dirt Ovals. The format i propose to run is 10 minute practice session, then private qualifying with one warmup lap then 2 flying laps with the top 10 in qualifying scoring points with top Qualifyier getting 10 points and 10th getting one point (thus giving them a better chance of qualifying directly to the A-main later in the night). From Qualifying we go to the heat races which will be 10 laps in duration and say if we have 20 drivers on the night the heats will be split in groups of two 10 car fields with the fastest drivers starting from the rear of the first round of heats then there finishing position from the first heat will be where you start your second heat.If there are 10 cars per heat the driver who wins will get 10 points and last will get 1 point. After the heats are over all points from the heat races and qualifying will be added together to find who has the highest point score through to the lowest. Example: Driver 1 qualifies 2nd then gets a forth in heat 1 then first in heat 2 he would have 25 points towards the A-main, but driver 2 didnt make the top ten in qualifying but got a win in the first heat then second in the 2nd heat he would have 19 points, if there are any ties on points after the heats it will come down to who had the better Qualifying position. Once points are calculated the top 12 automatically qualify for the 18 car A-main but before the A main the top 6 drivers have a pole shootout to determine the top 6 starting positions in the A-main. After the Pole shootout the remaining cars that didn't qualify in the top 12 will then run a 15 lap B-main with the top 6 finishers transferring into the last 6 positions of the 40 lap A-main. Where you finish in the A and B mains is the points that you will recieve towards the championship. Here is a link to the main page where the mod can be downloaded from www.bozracing.com

Sound great John......I have had a run in these and this will be a heap of fun with some close racing. Can't wait to start this!!!

Yeah we will use the tracks that can be downloaded from the same boz site there are lots to choose from and they also have a track pack with most of there tracks on it, i know the cars handle properly on the boz tracks, i have tried some non boz tracks (Brisbane, Toowoomba and Parramatta) and found the cars a lot harder to drive as they werent getting the same grip level. I havent tried the SBS tracks so i am unsure on them. I will download a SBS track and compare it though.

MaxForceAtSteeringRack

This is the force on the steering rack that corresponds to full force at the wheel and will need to be set for each car driven, the default of 1500 may be much too low or too high for a lot of cars. Use the Console view to see the forces generated at the steering arm to help with tweaking this value.

SteeringDamper

This is the max change in force sent to the wheel each frame. By default this is set the same as SteerForceInputMax, which effectively disables any damping. Hold Left Control and...
Numpad 7, 8, 9 - MaxForceAtSteeringRack decrease 1000N, Reset Min/Max, increase 1000N
Numpad 4, 5, 6 - SteeringDamper decrease (10 steps), Reset to Min (max damping = no FFB), increase (10 steps)

These HotKeys only work when in RealTime mode, i.e. out on track.
