I'm very excited to say that Darren Blythe has given me permission to convert his Assetto Corsa track over to rFactor 2. For those that haven't seen his track it's the best barbagallo that's been made.

Finally finished the track and I'm very pleased with the way it looks.
Hexagramme has made a new cam file which is very good.
Thanks to everyone the helped and tested the track along the way. :good:

Looks great and it's about time we started seeing these track re-built. The Barbagallo track we're using now is a conversion from rFactor and that was brought over from F1 Challenge. Yes! that's how old it really is! Same as ORSM's Sandown, Hidden Valley and Adelaide plus a version of pukekohe. I think that one has a new version made for rF2 with the new corners in it but I could be wrong. It maybe just the same track with them added. I know the Barbagallo that has the new pit lane in it was just a update and the pits were added. Still a reasonable track to race on in rF2. Like Sandown. Not your version though Nibiru. Not tried that one yet.

Been trying a version of Queensland Raceway, It's horrid! Really low quality textures, near no feel to it. It's flat to the feel but using the Track map plug-in you can see the bumps by the way the tyres loose grip and get it again. It's nearly the only guide to the bumps even being there. I hope you may consider re-working a version of this track. It really needs it badly! The rFactor1 version was better then this one is.

BETA is ready for testing. There are still a few things to do BUT I really want feedback from you guys about any issues or things that could be improved. I want to make this track the best I can so I need your feedback.

Please don't promote the download link as this is only BETA !!. There will be a final release soon!

I'm getting some mixed reports about the No Rain Zones......Some say it rains in the garage others say no rain in garage.

Can I get some feedback on that guys

No rain inside garage. Turn 4 left handside before the right at top of hill when left hand tyres touch the grass a penalty for corner cutting shows. Happen twice at speed. When going slow it doesn't appear.?

Thanks Fieldzy.......The cut track will be the cut track threshold settings in the GDB.


I have Hexagramme working on CAM and possible AIW files

Got some progress the last few days. Made my first Ambient Occlusion maps and added night lighting.

One thing. The Short version doesn't have a setups folder, and it doesn't default to the standard Barbagallo folder either?

Apart from that so far I can't fault it...

Ok I don't get rain in my garage, however 2 x rf2 has crashed putting on rain tyres. I did notice before the first crash that there was a yellow flag for 4 flag marshals 3 on main straight & 1 at turn 3? but no green flag after the yellow. Relaunch next test it was 2x yellow with a green flag at start/finish line, so it werked ok there ??? /me scratches me head
Frame rates in the 90s
edit : maybe it needs a bit more concrete runoff on turn 5 and probably abit longer too

Short track setup folder fixed

Does it happen on all mods SS or only 1?

I have adjusted the wet reflections

and added lights in the garage

the v8 rain tyre have a problem so it is not the track. It happen on every track I'm looking in to it today.

Did some more testing tonight using the new URD EGTs. The track is amazing.
Very immersive. Can't seem to find any major, or minor, faults.
Looking forward to see what the next 'update' is like.
The URDs aren't too bad either.
