R1CHO created the topic: Multicore processes
good hint for better performance in rfactor with multicore processes
While Rfactor is running alt tab bring up the task manager
on the applications tab right click on rf and click go to process this should highlight rfactor,exe*32
right click again and set Affinity this will bring up a window to select all processors tick them all and click ok
you must do this everytime you start rfactor
rfactor by default only uses 1 core
cheers R1CHO

I would have probably stolen cars - it would have given me the same adrenaline rush as racing.

This might help a little more with this Affinity manager where you can save the setting without having to do it again.
An utility that helps users to easily manage default processor affinities in Windows, and also has the ability to change processor affinity on the fly for any running process.

I'm not trying to step on anyones toes though this is a bit easier...
right click on rfactor icon, hit properties, shortcut, and change Target: to
"C:\Program Files\rFactor\rFactor.exe" +fullproc
click ok.
**** the +fullproc flag is the same process as using affinity in task manager *****
