rF1 is now very dated (though tried and tested) technology, so it makes sense to keep with the times.
Wednesdays could be an access point, perhaps transition point is a better term, for rF2. The popularity
of rF1 is rapidly decreasing, so to attract new members it would be better to get into rF2 ASAP.
Slackers such as myself will eventually get into rF2 (and whatever else we may run, Asetto Corsa, Project Cars etc)
so it should be what's best for the clan; not keeping the handbrake on to the detriment of progress.
Mondays should remain rF1 V8SC nights until a decent rF2 version of V8SC comes out, but Wednesdays should roll-over to rF2.
Enduros could be more transitional? Perhaps Fridays could be rF1 early 2013, then progress over. By mid-year there will hopefully be a decent V8SC
mod for us to use? With Nib's ongoing Aussie track conversions, it should be a relatively seamless transition.
Thoughts?

nipzon yes
I would have probably stolen cars - it would have given me the same adrenaline rush as racing.

Pete I had the same feeling about RF2 in the beginning but one session on TS with the guys showed me excactly what to do and now it is easy as.

I would have probably stolen cars - it would have given me the same adrenaline rush as racing.

The longer you leave it the more stuff that you will need to download. Majority of the downloads can be found in our fast downloads and like nipzon said a bit of time on TS with someone that has rF2 and you'll be up and running in no time.

Now as for the general discussion about what to run, well I'm in two minds about it.
1st I think running RF2 is a great idea to attract new members and undoubtedly stimulate current members to join in.
2nd I don't think it's fair to the members to make them get RF2 when their not ready to buy it, for the obvious reason of cost. I know I had to upgrade my pc to get a decent framerate, that was around the $400 mark to make it good to go. Some will need to do this some not.
So maybe we could run RF1 wednesday nite as usual and run RF2 friday night maybe with the plan to move it to wednesday when everybody is ready.

there is alot of content to get upto date with everything but i think i'd spend longer getting everything for RF1 which i hadnt really thought about and rf1 is still getting updated with new mods and tracks etc and RF2 is gonna be the same so really there both still some form of beta I guess and always will be just a different system
Whateva we race I'm there

my fav rf2 mod is the Clio cup , easy to drive and fun to throw around , im realy not a fan of the open wheel cars , never was .
i love the idea of rf2 night , i hate to admit , but my ts stuffing up kept me away from our events but also , having ran with iracing then rf2 , well, rf1 lost its shine and i felt like i was letting the side down by not joining even without ts .
and pinky , to say its daunting with all the learning understandable but as the boys say , get on ts and we will sort u out , im going to upload all my rf2 packages to my media fire account in the next few days so it will be easier , i have GIGS of it and some of it was damm hard to find ......
i would even brave a rf2 night with no ts
